Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Mourns Passing of Longtime Auxiliary Deputy

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the recent passing of longtime Auxiliary Deputy Robert Arvin Jr. Robert served in the United States Marine Corps from 1961 until his retirement in 1989, earning the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. While serving in Vietnam, Robert received the Bronze Star with Combat “V” and two Purple Hearts. After retiring from the Marines, Robert worked as an educator at Romeoville High School as an MCJROTC Instructor until his retirement in 2011. Robert joined the Kendall County Sheriff's Office as an Auxiliary Deputy in 2006 and served the citizens of Kendall County until 2020. Robert was very active in Sheriff's Office activities throughout his many years of service, and he will be deeply missed by all of us here at the Sheriff’s Office.
Visitation for Robert will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538. The funeral service will be held Monday, November 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville, IL 60563. Deputies have been authorized to wear mourning bands in honor of Robert. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest condolences to the Arvin family, friends, and extended law enforcement family. Rest easy, Robert.
