The Kendall County Circuit Clerk’s records are open to any member of the public for inspection or to obtain copies at all times during regular business hours. Please be aware that Adoptions and Juvenile records are not open to the public and no information on these cases is available.

Civil Division
A written request must be made, making sure to include your name, address, daytime telephone number, case number if known and the information you are looking for. Please include as much information as possible when completing this request
- You can obtain copies by coming into the Kendall County Clerk’s office; or
- Log into I2File for electronic request
The requester will be responsible for statutory fees (See Section 27.1a of the Clerk’s Act (705 ILCS 105/27.1a) which can include but are not limited to, the following: copying charges; certification charges (if necessary); and postage. Prior to processing the request, the requester will be notified of the charges and expected to remit payment in advance. Any checks or money orders should be made payable to: Kendall County Circuit Clerk.

Criminal Division
- You can obtain copies by coming into the Kendall County Clerk’s office.

Please note that if you are requesting copies through the mail you need to include a self addressed stamped envelope, the request should include a case number if known, the names of the parties on the case and the document that you are requesting. Make sure to include your name and telephone number in case we would have any questions. Please include as much information as possible when completing this request. Mail to:
