All inmate visitation with friends and family will be done via video visitation. Both visitor and inmate are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate fashion at all times during a video visit.
All visits must be scheduled and approved in advance prior to the visit. Inmates who are named as a restrained person in any restraining or other valid court order shall not be allowed visits from persons who are protected by the order.
Kendall County reserves the right to deny, cancel or terminate a video visit prior to or during a visitation session based upon visitor or inmate misconduct. Kendall County also reserves the right to restrict visitors from participating in all future use of the video visitation system.
Visitation may be cancelled or altered at any time in the event of an emergency, unusual occurrence and extenuating circumstances or deemed necessary by the Corrections Commander or designee.
All video visits are recorded and subject to electronic monitoring. Your use of the video visitation system constitutes consent to recording and monitoring.
The following conduct is prohibited:
- Any display of nudity, full or partial, including breast feeding, tight fitting or provocative clothing.
- Any inappropriate behavior or actions that are sexual in nature.
- Use or display of any weapons, drugs, alcohol, or related paraphernalia.
- Activity or display of graphics/paraphernalia associated with any Security Threat Group or Gang.
- Unlawful activity or depiction of unlawful activity.
- Recording, filming or photographing a visit by any participant.
Any violations of prohibited conduct by the inmate or visitor may result with all future visitations being suspended for an amount of time determined by the Sheriff’s Office.
All visitors must be eighteen (18) years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent / guardian. The parent/guardian must remain in the visiting booth for onsite visits or physically present for remote visits or, the visit will be terminated.
At least one (1) visit per week per inmate shall be allowed, except when an individual inmate has been assessed a disciplinary penalty for a violation of a rule or regulation.
Inmates may refuse to visit with a particular individual.
Contact visits are not allowed.
Attorney video visits will not be recorded or monitored.
Off-site video visitation that takes place outside of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, will be allowed every day during the week. Visits are unlimited to the inmate as long as scheduling permits and they are not back to back.
Visitation times on these days will be:
- 8:00am – 12:00pm
- 1:00pm – 5:00pm
- 7:00pm – 11:00pm
On-site video visitation that takes place in the lobby of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office will be allowed 2 times per week, with visits that last 20 minutes, at no cost to the visitor. Each visit can include two (2) registered adult visitors, Monday – Thursday and on Sunday.
Visitation times on these days will be:
- 10:00am – 12:00pm
- 2:00pm – 4:30pm
- 7:00pm – 9:00pm
All video visits, both on and off site, must be scheduled and approved in advance prior to the visit.
