Filing a false police report is a crime.

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office Online Reporting System allows citizens to submit an online report for certain crimes and incidents that occur within the jurisdiction of the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. If you are looking to provide a crime tip, please visit our Crime Stoppers page.

We strongly encourage you to be thorough and accurate when submitting the report. Please provide us with as information as you can, in a concise manner.

There are some incidents that you cannot report online. Below is a non-inclusive list of incidents that do not qualify for an online report:

  • Theft of a firearm
  • Traffic Collisions
  • Any incident that resulted in an injury.
  • If you have any information about a possible suspect ( person you think is guilty of the crime).
  • If you have physical evidence such as fingerprints, blood, etc., or a license plate number.
  • If the incident occurred outside of the jurisdiction of Kendall County Sheriff's Office (unincorporated Kendall County, the Village of Lisbon, the Village of Millbrook, the Village of Newark, the Village of Plattville, and the Kendall County portion of the the Village of Millington).

If any of the above, please call 630-553-5856 to meet with a deputy either in person or over the telephone.

Once you have completed the online form, you will receive a confirmation email from the Sheriff's Office with your report number and instructions pertaining to obtaining a copy of your report within 3 business days. If for any reason, your report does not qualify for our online reporting system, you will receive an email indicating so and requesting the best time for a deputy to meet with you.

IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY, DIAL 9-1-1.
