The COPS Unit is dedicated to proactive and community based policing. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office strives to be actively involved in the community and seeks partnerships to solve community related issues and problems. COPS Deputies are able to direct their full time and attention to these ends and pride themselves in positive interactions with the community. COPS Deputies are dedicated to strengthening the partnerships we enjoy with the community that we live and work in. COPS Deputies are extremely active throughout Kendall County and are involved in the following services:

  • School Resource Officers and Liaisons to the nine schools located in unincorporated areas of Kendall County
  • Community presentations on identity theft, scams, and crime prevention.
  • Proactive policing in problem areas
  • Community outreach through attending events and gatherings
  • Senior Services
  • Neighborhood Watch programs
  • Public Information Officer
  • Crimestoppers
