The KCRPC meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm. The Commission is made up of ten citizens of Kendall County appointed by the County Board. Each commissioner represents one township within the County with one “at large” member. The Commission receives from the PBZ Department copies of all applications for map amendments, special uses, preliminary and final plats of subdivisions, and zoning text amendments. In addition, the Commission obtains the committee report from the ZPAC with its recommendations. The Commission is also in charge of developing and implementing the County’s Land Resource Management Plan for development in unincorporated Kendall County. The Commission will hold public hearings to discuss proposed revisions to the LRMP before submitting their recommendation to the County Board. An annual meeting held by the Commission, typically the first Saturday in February, occurs to discuss previous accomplishments by both the Commission and the Department as well as to discuss potential changes to the LRMP in the coming year.
