Statute/Authority: 35 ILCS 200/9 - Illinois Property Tax Code

Description: The Kendall County Tax Board of Review is responsible for reviewing and deciding on property tax assessment appeals filed by property owners. The board ensures that property assessments are fair and accurate based on the provisions outlined in the Illinois Property Tax Code.

Composition: Three (3) members and one (1) alternate member

Term: Two (2) years

Additional Information:

1. Meetings are as needed during the non-hearing season, usually twice a month on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. In-person hearings are held Monday thru Friday either from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm or from 1 pm to 4:00 pm and typically begin the week after Thanksgiving. The appeals where the appellant does not want to appear typically begin mid-November. These meetings are Monday thru Friday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
