The Forensic Services Section is primarily responsible for managing the Kendall County Forensic Science Center (Morgue) and providing civilian staff to assist the Investigative Services Section at death scenes. This section is led by the Forensic Services Manager, who oversees all daily operations and budgeting for the Forensic Science Center, as well as managing all civilian personnel employed by the Coroner's Office. Additionally, as a sworn Deputy Coroner, the Forensic Services Manager may fulfill investigative responsibilities as required.

Cherie is currently appointed as a full-time Deputy Coroner with Kendall County and currently assigned as the Forensic Services Manager. She was initially hired part-time with the office in 2021, transitioned to a full-time investigator in 2022 and was promoted to Forensic Services Manager in December 2024. She previously worked in both pre-hospital EMS as well as for an Organ/Tissue Procurement Organization (OPO) as a Senior Tissue Recovery Technician.
