The Zoning Board of Appeals consists of seven citizens of the County appointed by the County Board.   The ZBA reviews Zoning Map Amendment, Zoning Text Amendment, and Special Use Permit applications with the recommendation made by the Plan Commission. The ZBA will make Findings of Fact for the Planning, Building and Zoning Committee for these applications.  In addition to a recommending body, the ZBA will review and can have final action on all zoning variance requests. The ZBA will also hear and determine appeals from, and review any order, requirement, decision, or determination, made by the Zoning Administrator charged with the enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.
